Magnetoencephalograph (MEG)

The CTF MEG system, CTF 275 MEG, is a whole-head SQUID magnetometer with 275 channels, capable of recording the magnetic field of the brain at very high spatial and temporal resolution.

Stimulus and response devices are available on request.

The system is housed in a magnetically shielded room (VAC Vacuumschmelze GmbH + CoKG Hanau) for enhanced passive noise reduction.

The MEG system is equipped with:

  • A whole-head SQUID magnetometer with 275 channels
  • Head localization coils
  • Audiosystem for communication
  • IT for recording of images and presentation

Electroencephalography (EEG)

EEG is a non-invasive method used to record electrical activity of the brain. EEG measures voltage fluctuations resulting from ionic current flows within the neurons of the brain, typically using electrodes placed along the scalp.
